Dr. Joshua LaVigneDr. Joshua LaVigne
Our team is led by Joshua LaVigne, PhD, a licensed clinical neuropsychologist, who specializes in administering neuropsychological testing. Because he specializes in administering neuropsychological testing, we can bring a high level of expertise to patients with brain injury or other cognitive difficulties, including distinguishing between Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We also work with adolescents and adults as brain issues can occur across the lifespan. Our comprehensive, data-based evaluations give our patients peace of mind when faced with uncertainty, difficult decisions, or unexpected changes in functioning. Our goal at NeuroClinic and Assessments is to work with individuals and their families to uncover and better understand any conditions that might be impacting their functioning and to help guide them in their next steps.
A thorough, empirically-based evaluation administered by a neuropsychologist is the best way to determine the cognitive functioning and potential level of care patients require. Our accurate and reliable evaluation reports detail each patient’s level of cognitive functioning, answering questions that are vital for care and treatment.
Dr. LaVigne founded NeuroClinic and Assessments with a passion for patient care. He is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology (APA’s Division 40). He is a current board member and former president of the board for Mental Health Resource League, a non-profit organization that raises money for mental health treatment causes in McHenry County. He is the physician sponsor for the McHenry County chapter of Think First, a national brain and spinal cord injury prevention program.
