Kelly Gustafson, PsyD
Kelly Gustafson, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in health and rehabilitation psychology.
She practices at our office in McHenry, Illinois.
Specialties
Dr. Gustafson provides therapy and neuropsychological testing for individuals in rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, and her outpatient office at NeuroClinic and Assessments in McHenry.
She has extensive training in the mind-body connection, using mindfulness as a way to help individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and emotional and physical pain find a sense of healing.
Credentials
Dr. Gustafson earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from what is now the University of Arizona (formerly University of the Rockies). Afterward, she completed her residency at St. James Hospital.
Dr. Gustafson also has specialized training and experience working with patients who suffer from chronic medical and pain conditions, strokes, grief and loss, and adjustment to difficult life situations.

Dr. Gustafson is affiliated with the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Association of Pain Management (AAPM), the Illinois Psychological Association (IPA), Psychologists in Long-Term Care (PLTC), and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH).
She formerly worked as a rehabilitation psychologist and neuropsychologist at Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry, where she provided therapy and brief cognitive testing for the patients on the acute rehabilitation unit.
